Whole Lotta...

Catching up...this picture a day thingie forces me to post more than I would like...falling behind sucks...ugh....

First off...agility related...we set up and ran this course this week...from the Regional...ISC Standard...
Not gonna brag or nuttin'...but I made it my bitch with 2 out of my 3 dogs...Lynn and I had a slight bobble (GASP!! NOT AT THE DOGWALK!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!) but from 4 t0 5...all me baby...all me...little hairless coyote hybrid knocked my socks off...she's like, a real dog now or something :) She has mad ninja skillzzzzzzz...mad naked, hairless, ninja skillzzzzzzzz...

I started with sending over 1 to the backside of 2...then did a FC between 2 and 3. Pull through to 4a---called dogs name as I ran on the right for 4b and executed a RC on 5 to the DW. With the stopped DW's I FC'd before 7a and did another FC between 7b and the weaves. With the running I called Lynn with a verbal and rear crossed 7a and then did a FC between 7b and the weaves. I did a RC while the dog was in the weaves to drive them to the A-frame with dog on my left. A-frame-jump-chute-tire dog on my left. Send to the tire and FC on landing side of triple to pull to the #15 jump. This put me with the dog on my right to pull to the tunnel after the teeter. RC'd the tunnel (so dog back on my left) to finish the ending.

Other things I tried: doing a FC at the end of the poles--I liked this less than RC'ing the weaves. And I also tried not FC'ing the triple, but rather keeping the dog on my left and driving to the #15 jump and giving my dog a verbal left to turn them away from me over that jump to the teeter. Both actually worked equally well...I didn't time them though. So not sure :)

How would YOU handle it?

Team Crackhead had some bobbles, I pointed and laughed as all good spouses should do. He threw a cone at me (and as my students will know, I don't OWN cones...so in this context a cone means "evil back stabbing/throat slitting/death stare") where is that dude's sense of humor?

Speaking of spouses---today is our 8 year wedding anniversary :)

Day 145 :May 31st, 2003 I caught a great one :)
You have now seen me in a dress...like twice...it probably won't happen again ;)
It's been a great 8 years :-) He's my bestest friend EVER...and puts up with my crap...that's worth a ton if you ask me :)
I'm the luckiest girl in the world :)

Mother nature is hitting menopause and the hot flashes are coming like rolling blackouts in Bangkok---yesterday she was 85 and HUMID...today...55 and 50 mph wind gusts...since I have a furry dog..I thought I would bring Klink out to show how it was windy...
Are we gonna go work sheep??

Nope Klinker...we can't right now...too windy and you couldn't hear my commands or whistles...
You gotta be kidding me...you brought me out here...just to stand in the wind and take pictures...

Yep! It's for the blog!
Un--f***ing--believable...
You soooooo owe me for this...

Yeah, yeah...I'll pay you back, I promise...
Lies...ALL LIES...

But KLINK, it's for the BLOG!!!!!
Counting to 10...counting to 10...
Are we done yet? I have better things to do with my time...
If looks could kill...apparently Klinky doesn't like the wind...and not getting to work sheep...and a million other things...she's such a hater.

Day 146: Zip just isn't normal...
She just can't be like the other dogs...
Seriously Zip...WTH??!?!?!

And holy shit I need to clean my windows...wow...

And now...the winner, FINALLY...of the contest, can't even remember what I had to give out!?!?

So the winner is Jen--from the blog "These Obedience Dogs" CONGRATS! Please email me privately at fulltilt05@yahoo.com so you can claim your prize! :)

I hope all of you did overcome your plateaus!!! :)

Yay, Jen! Congrats.

I've gotta say I did NOT make that course my bitch. Wow. Of course as usual, anything I do at your house makes just about anything I'm up against at trials seem pretty darn easy! Thank you for that.

Happy Anniversary to one of the best couples I know!

Congrats Jen!

We overcame our plateau big time this weekend. After seven weeks of rest and pool conditioning Freya is back :) She had a strained knee and X-rays showed some hip dyslpacia so we caught it early enough to start using supplements and make her more comfortable. We'll only be doing non-jumping classes but she rocked this weekend. I trusted her distance and let her fly. I've never seen her move so fast, it was so nice to know she was feeling better. We now warm up and stretch really good before every run, and I have you to thank for that :O)

Even though I didn't win the drawing, I still think that video totally rocks. Congrats to Jen!

If the wind ever stops blowing long enough to make it safe to put the chute out in the yard , we should try the course. I see an off course from 14 to 15 in my future.
