Freakin' Cupcakes...

So, I am NOT a cook...I realize this...and I don't attempt anything great and amazing.

Betty Crocker and are totally close...as is my homeboy Mr. Pillsbury.

Since tomorrow is Valentine's Day, I thought I would make my honey some cupcakes...and the grocery store had these super cute Valentine's cakes...why not? Show my man I love him with food...he's skinny...iz all good :)

I follow directions well...when it says the box should make 24 cupcakes...I MAKE 24 CUPCAKES...thus, you see a melon baller thingie...PRECISION people...MUST HAVE 24 CUPCAKES... And then I stare at the oven...I have this odd thing about possibly over browning (the husband calls it that...I call it BURNT)...so I watch, and watch and watch...and then TA DA! 24 CUPCAKES!! I am Betty F-ING Crocker...awwww yeah :)

You might ask yourself, who CAN'T make a boxed cake...oh honey...I can mess up Jello...seriously.

Then, as a matching pair with the cake mix, came the awesome frosting stuff...it is pink...which to me screams Strawberry...but nope...it was vanilla...I found that very disturbing, as if I had been lied to...why would PINK frosting be vanilla? Sigh... So I did as the box told me to...and frosted my 24 Cupcakes...and the frosting container said there were 12 servings in it...so...24 cupcakes...means yeah...damn it...more measuring...I know...it's is an OCD thing...they have to have the same amount of frosting...

Seven hours later... Then...my personal hell...Sprinkles. I really should just toss the stupid container away...I have sprinkle issues...but they were WITH THE FROSTING...so I did it...

F-ing Sprinkles NEVER go on the same way on each cupcake when I do them...maybe others can help me here...but it makes me insane...stupid sprinkles. And these were like, tough sprinkles at that...with little hearts and different colors...I can't eat a bag of Skittles without separating them in to piles of each color. So I just had to deal...aka walk away from the cupcakes... And their f-ed up sprinkles... Did I mention the sprinkles?Day 44: I guess sprinkles aren't everything...yummmmmmmmmm
