Lynn would like everyone to know...

24 inch weaves suck :)

She was trained on 21" weaves...and she likes those, swims them...enjoys their company...

24 inch weaves she has NO idea how to get through them yet :) Seriously...she bitches, she screams, she is double stepping and NOT happy. She does all of them, but she is just frustrated to do it...

I have work to do. She is probably going to be pissed weaving this weekend at the trial, they are 24" weaves...sorry Stewie :(

I am sure she is in a HUGE minority...Klink and Gator and even 11" tall Crackers think they ROCK...

But Lynn is going to take some convincing...good thing I don't have her entered in another trial after this weekend, yet anyway...

Off to work some channels and some WAM's...but she wanted me to post this before I did so.

I get the whole train it better thing... and I will, but THANK YOU! Some of them *do* notice a difference.

Yeah, I will be honest, I didn't expect any of my dogs to care...or if ANY of them would it would be Crackers...but nope. I should get some video of Lynn weaving the 24" poles...she is NOT HAPPY.

So we are going to go with 22", then 23", then 24" in the channels and WAM's and see if I can slowly get her up to that without extreme frustration on her part. Poor kid. Lynn and Rev need a support group :)

I know that there are plenty of people who have said their dogs don't like 24" weaves -- but I've never been able to understand it. Even 14" Kaiser is so much happier with them and slams/pops when I put him in anything shorter now. For 27" Luke, I don't even feel comfortable putting him through anything else. Secret will likely never see anything shorter than 24" in her lifetime.

Hope Lynn figures it out quickly -- lord knows she's smart enough, she'll find a way. :)

Before she figures it out, though, I would love to see video. And I'm sure all of those folks on the USDAA list who are anti-24" weaves would love for you to post it to support their cause. lol

Karissa--Lynn swims her weaves...she is about 19" tall and is very comfortable swimming 21/22inch weaves. When she has to reach (which hopefully she learns to do quickly) on the 24" poles, she doesn't feel she can, so she double steps and that is not comforable or fast. She gets upset, she tries harder and then gets tangled a bit. I have no doubt she will figure it out, but it might take a bit. Not sure. I will try to get video of her...

My Cardigan Corgi does SO much better in the 24 inch weaves! He flies through! Makes me feel a bit better about the stress I am putting on his spine as well. We only do AKC so have been doing 24 inches for awhile now. He did learn on the 21's though. I sold them to get my 24s!

Yeah Taryn, it sounds like most dogs love them. And I am sure Lynn will learn to love them :) Maybe it is a certain height dog that seems to have more issues? That would be interesting to see. I know many smaller dog owners do not care for them...good deal for your pup though!!!!
