Sometimes...

You just have to get away....or maybe I need to just get away. The husband went to a local trial, and I had a camping trip planned. Yes me, alone. Just nature, the RV and I then decided no dogs. Many people looked at me like I was insane...but, sometimes you just need peace and quiet and not to have to care for anything by yourself. Or...again, at least I do :)

I was amazed at how many people didn't get this...how boring! What are you going to do all weekend? Why aren't you trialing? Were the most common responses.

I guess it came down to me really needing alone time. Reading books, hiking, fishing, watching the  waves crash on the shore. Playing the guitar, building fires, cooking and just enjoying time alone. Not everyone needs it, I personally....DO. I saw this on Facebook and it pretty much summed me up :)
YUP...that is pretty much it :) Today is Monday, I feel refreshed and social again :) I don't expect extroverts to understand it :) It is who I am though...

And this weekend was about ME, and what I needed...
Sunsets on the lake...
Trees towering over me...
No one around...
Just me, and nature...
And a fire :)

I'm sure I am weird :) But that's OK, take me as I am. I had to laugh...those that know me best, didn't question this trip :) They knew it was something I needed. Good to have people accept me for who I am :)

The husband and Crackhead leave today for Texas. I fly out Wednesday with my friend Bonnie (Crackers breeder). 4 days of seeing some of the best teams compete :) Should be a blast! Then home Sunday night...and flying out early Wednesday for a week in Utah. Then another trial after that in WI...and then a break from traveling. I plan on letting life get back to a crawl and have a beer or two :)

I hope to take lots of pictures of Worlds!!!

Good luck for Texas! Would LOVE love love to see some pics of any of the New Zealanders running (if you happen to be around with your camera when they're running) :)

How relaxing! I get the no people bit, but I couldn't be without a dog :)

Nature rocks, and so does alone time! Ain't nothing wrong with that!
