First off, I want to wish my boy Ace a HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!
Lucky number 13!! He had a rough week physically, and I am glad to say he is doing GREAT now :) So here's to many many more years with my old man :)
Onto some actual TRAINING!!
I had Lynn swimming her weaves BEAUTIFULLY!! She was been doing that very well for a LONG time...and now, we go trial and she isn't. Frustrating to me and being who I am, I needed the answer to this.
Insert handy, dandy, video camera. If you doing have a video camera, GET ONE. Seriously. Get one, get a tripod and you will be amazed at the things you don't see when you are running the dog. I use video to see lots of things.
So...I set up the camera, moved the weaves outside on the grass and set about figuring out if this is something I should be worried about.
I've come to the conclusion that the different surfaces are making her change her weaving style. So only miles and experience will fix this.
The funny thing is, I don't even know if Gator, Klink or Zip did this as baby dogs. And they all worked out a swimming style...I'll just leave her alone to figure stuff out :)
Video is good. Very good :)
