The Good, The Bad and The Ugly...

Lets start with "The Good"....day whatever the heck I am on now :)
~~
The Crackhead...is now ADCH Crackhead :) The husband and his little white dog got it Saturday at the Contact Sports USDAA trial with a 1st place Standard run. WOO HOO! So proud of them both :)

Photo taken by Loretta Mueller (aka me :)

Husband is very relieved...and so is his spouse :)

He had several other great runs as well...picking up a couple more titles. The husband was a bit rusty on Saturday as well...but was better on Sunday...
Klink and Gator ran well this weekend, considering there is little to no training going on. They have lost some drive into 2 on 2 off due to not working contacts...but that will go away in the spring with WORK (imagine that! training!!?!?!?! WHAAAAA??)

I was rusty...yeah...I hate that feeling. Rusty with your older dogs, who should be like putting on an old pair of gloves...perfectly fitting is just icky.

I am not sure how much I talk about Klink in regards to agility...but she saved my ass so many times this weekend it wasn't even funny...I am amazed at her ability to deal with my lack of handling...and keep bars up...and and and :) She even got a Bye in GP for the Regional...happy with that. Very good girl!!! I felt connected at least to her this weekend as a whole. She did get pulled from one class due to "things that pop up when we don't train"...being, popping pole 10 inte WP's (only did it that one time!) and cutting in front of my path to take a tunnel...yeah...not cool Stink. But she was awesome other than that. I am very happy CSA had a break away tire though...she would have had a HORRIBLE crash if the tire didn't give way. I would rather have a 5 point fault than a broken dog. Whew!!!!

Tator Salad was a good boy as well, he was slipping a lot on the turf, not really sure why, but I was watching videos and he slipped many times :( And he slipped past 2 WP entries...oh well...blaming HIGH dog and apparently for him a bit slippery turf. Oh yeah...and no training :) LOL He was for sure feeling high...but we got things under control and he was lovely on Sunday :)

So that might have been the Bad?? But really that was good....so maybe it's just "The Good and the UGLY.."...

Lynn...sigh :) Stewart Little is well...getting excited at trials...but I will go back to that.

Dog walks----EPIC FAIL--missed 6 out of 7 total...she even missed the easy exit ones...just launched...this is NOT Lynn. Lynn is a nerd people...Lynn doesn't just lose it, Lynn has her calculator...and there is always a REASON...

I just don't know the reason...and I need to find it, before I start drinking heavily to alleviate the pain :) But Lynn always has a reason for what she is doing...she is calculating...So...

We did some DW's this am...all good...so...thinking confidence...she has never ran on turf at a trial, she as never been to that particular building...hell if I know!

I am chatting with those that know a lot more than I do...I am hoping to come up with some answers. She has a trial in 3 weeks...and I will continue to work on them, and all the other things that need to be worked on :)

She had another explosion in Steeplechase, this time, couldn't weave...so...thinking Steeplechase might be a bit too much for her right now :) So just regular classes. BUT...weaves were MUCH better, lots of single steps, not slow either...so that is coming along. A-frames were awesome, teeters too, and handling she was good, listening, sending, calling in. GOOD GIRL. Master Snooker was FUN, but I biffed it up for her :) She did great though...

SO....things are coming together I think? Not sure :)

Here is her highlight reel...I am leaving out DW's as I don't want to look at them...I am going to be a Minnesotan and ignore the problem...and just plug along.

I need to lower my expectations of her...focus on confidence and building on our teamwork...it's there...we are just hitting a bump in the road right now I think...

Dog training :) Never done...

What would we do with ourselves if dog training were ever done? :)
