Even is...

The most hilarious dog ever, so much energy...so much drama...so much of so many things I would LOVE to train.

Yet...Even is...LAME...and has been for many days now. But it has taken me awhile to want to talk about it. The crappy thing is? No one really knows what is going on. She is now lame on her RIGHT leg, not the left...

I just want her to be able to be a normal dog...do dog things, no leash walking...no restrictions.

They are thinking that the right leg might have been the primary condition and the torn tricep on her left side was a secondary to the right leg. So basically the right is the cause...maybe...or maybe not.

I am not sure where else to go...I have had her x-rayed again, looking for ANYTHING in the shoulder..nothing. Joints are clean as a whistle...I was actually PRAYING for a chip or OCD...get the surgery, pay 3 grand...move on with LIFE...but no.

I have cried so much over this, I just don't know what to do.

Yes, I know, she is still alive, isn't dying etc etc. I get it. But it breaks my hear that she can't be a dog.

At this point if they could just fix her so she could just be a dog, and never work stock or do agility..I would be a very happy person...

I keep praying we will get this figured out :-((

I am so very sorry to hear this news about Even. I saw your video showing her the other day and was just so hoping it wasn't true. Don't give up hope - somehow they have to find what is wrong and they will fix it and Even will be able to be a normal dog! We send you tons and tons of positive thoughts and good wishes!

I know your frustration! I'd put her on a high dose of Doxy for a week or so and see if you see improvement. It won't hurt and so many mystery illnesses/injuries are tick related. I know you've had her tested (saw and posted to your post of the BCBoards) but I'd treat anyway.

Oh no. I am sorry!

Hoping for a quick diagnosis and even speedier recovery. ;-)

Oh, crap! Beyond just Lyme, have they done the full tick panel? Both my dogs have/had Erlichia, Wilson's also had Lyme, and the ticks in my area also have Rocky Mtn Spotted Fever. All three of these can affect the joints....
I hope a diagnosis comes soon.
