OH YEAH!

Braces come off in 5 weeks...or so they tell me.

They told me they would be off in February 2010....Y-E-A-H...um..they are still on...

I think they are lying...or sadistic...or both. Orthodontists are evil...

Yes there will be teeth pictures on my blog, $5,000 dollars and 2.5 years of my life! You bet your sweet a$$ I will have pictures!!! Not sure exactly why....but I will damnit!

And they have to get them OFF first...like actually TAKE THEM OFF...I told them I needed nitrous....they said they didn't have any...and I hate to say it but the 20 year olds that they hire as the dental assistants are not exactly the type to overpower a person. I see world war III breaking out over this...I hate the grinder thingie...

Maybe they have shackles...or maybe I can drink before I go in...drink a LOT...this ain't gonna be pretty...

Don't worry no grinders or gas will be needed. They will actually just be able to pull them off. They might scrape off the remaining cement but they are much easier coming off than going on.Unless things have changed:((

I know the feeling about being told they are coming off...for about a year before they actually did. No need for gas for them to be taken off. I only had my braces on for 3 months before I moved to Boise and my new ortho removed some of them so that he could reposition them! I scheduled a regular dental cleaning later in the afternoon so that they could try and remove more of the cement. I'll never complain about flossing again! :-)

I had my braces for four years -- all through high school. Getting braces put *on* sucks big time, but I thought the "off" process was quite simple. Pop, snap, boom and it's done. It went a lot faster than I expected -- and the feeling is AMAZING. You can't stop licking your teeth. lol
