Lynn

Lynn, Lynnie Lou, Stewie, Stewart...yes I have lots of nicknames :) And she comes to all those nicknames :) I love this little girl. Well I guess not little, she is probably 20" tall, not sure how much she weights, but she is a solid girl.

I won't deny it, Lynn and I have butted heads, but she is a great girl, driven, a bit stubborn, but a sweetheart. It is a lot of fun running her in agility as well :) She is not going to be a barker like her sister Klink (THANK doG), she is a lovely jumper and turns really tight over bars. Yes, you knew it was coming...I had to quit the running dogwalk training, she was getting burnt out and I was as well. When she turned on and really started working and being driven, I THOUGHT about trying it again...but then said no, I needed a break from it.

SOOOOO...we are trying again. I am just doing the downplank right now, it is 28" tall and she is doing very well :) She is enjoying it, I am enjoying it, and it is a lot of fun :) We will see where it takes us... Her running A-frame is going very well! We are working lots of handling to and after it and she is doing great :) She NEVER misses one, sometimes will go a bit high when we are working new stuff. But settles back into her striding quickly :) I love the running A-frame! I don't see how I would ever train a 2 on 2 off A-frame again.

Here is a little bit of both her dogwalk and a-frame :)

Lynn rocks :) she is lookin' good!

I read your post about Even, i am glad you have some answers and can work on getting her back in action. i've got some weird tendon things going on myself, so i can understand a bit how frustrating it is - fine one day then stiff and sore.

congrats on a great weekend to by the way.

p.s. OMG i love crackers.

Yay! (again)

Glad she's doing better mentally and that you're giving it another go. Meanwhile, her aframe is to die for. :)

Thanks Sarah :) That is kind of how Even is right now, fine one day then sore. So we are just taking it easy until we can get to TOPS.

KPR-that is all I see when I look at her, I never noticed her blaze was a #1 until you pointed that out! LOL

Debra Kay--Thanks!!

Tori-Yep, I think a bit of maturity has gone a long way with her :) Thanks on the A-frame, I am really having a lot of fun with it!

What lovely contacts she has, I am jealous!

I still struggle with what route I'll take with my young one. She has done so much plank work with 2o/2o that she offers it automatically when we're around the equipment. I pretty much decided that I will train her for that on the dog walk, but we haven't done anything with the a-frame yet. I would like her to have a nice running contact, but she seems to thrive on her 2o/2o behavior. I suppose I'll see what she does when I finally get around to putting it out at baby height....

I've never had a dog who happily does the 2o/2o, so I'm kind of giddy about the prospect of having a dog that doesn't miss contacts. My boys (even the little runt) are somewhat less than reliable with their contacts at trials, although much improved. :o)

treat the dogwalk plank like you did the aframe; give her something to look at (toy, obstacle, etc). Her frame looks great!

This is a GREAT learning experience :) It might get me in the end when I can't get there...but I have having so much fun I don't care :)

Yep Rosanne, I have a toy out in front of the dogwalk, no set distance, but just where I throw it...

She doesn't need the toy at the end of the A-frame now, she realizes jumps/tunnels etc are what she is driving to :) I am assuming the same with the dogwalk.

Thanks for all your help!

Karissa--I know I can teach the two on two off, so I am just going this route to see what happens :) I can imagine if you have had contact issues running is scarey! LOL I don't blame you!

I usually start with an obstacle on the frame as well, but whatever works, works. I actually pretty much never use a toy/target/lure of any kind like that, but I also have strong sending skills and obstacle focus
