Answers!! WOO HOO!

Well we have answers now :)
It is soft tissue :( However it is NOT in the shoulder thank goodness (a pain in the rear to treat and keep rested)...but rather behind the shoulder. And there are other issues associated with compensation (aka taking weight off those muscles).

During her massage today, she was having severe muscle spasms in her left triceps, spinalis dorsi, latissimus Dorsi and semitendonosis. She also had tightness in her right satorius and left cleidocervial muscles. AKA a whole lotta spasms going on :-((

She was great for the massage, but as soon as the therapist got near that area behind the shoulder she wanted OFF the table...poor kiddo :(

So she is on leash walking, for another 2 weeks, icing everyday on the area and a recheck in 2 weeks. I am VERY grateful she can go on leash walks! The poor dog doesn't do well on crate rest!!!!! She will probably be on leash walking for 4-6 weeks :(

COULD be worse!!!!

Thank you to everyone for keeping up on this :) I appreciate all the healing thoughts!!!!

Glad to hear it. Tell Even leash walks aren't all bad. She can think of it as special 1X1 time with her person while the other dogs run ahead. Get well soon Even the pack isn't the same without you running with it.

I'm glad-she's too great of a girlie not to feel good!

Yes, it's great that you know exactly what the problem is and what to do about it! She'll heal quickly and be back to normal in no time!

What a relief! Any idea what could have caused this?

We think she just wasn't warmed up and then ran around like a goofball, she drives herself HARD, no concept for her body and with the cold weather it is much easier to get injuries :(

I am just glad that we caught it early, as her muscle on both sides of her body was still the same, so she hasn't lost muscle on the bad side...which can take a while to get evened out again :)

Pulled muscles happen so much with hard driving dogs :-(((
