Happy Birthday Crackers!!!!

Mr. Crackers, aka Crackhead, aka Jackhole :-)) Turned one year old on Tuesday :)

Life has been interesting with Crackers around, a non-border collie and has his own set of challenges, but with age and maturity and lots of training he is a wonderful little boy :)

Andy ran him in agility on his birthday--see video below..and we took some pics of the little bugger :-)))

And now some pictures!!

Stalking a ball like his BC friends :-))

What a handsome Birthday boy! You are a braver gal than I.
I just love JRT's but just cant seem to find the right one that will mesh with my pack. Ive had 2 so far and have given up that I will ever find one that can hang with my crowd. Did you get him as a puppy? Ive tried a 9 month old female and a 1 1/2 yr old male, and both were very jealous of my other dogs very quickly upon entering my home, to the point of wanting to take on the big dogs! My dogs are very accepting of new dogs, but those JRT's werent very friendly with mine. Maybe I need to just start with a pup, but Lord Im not sure Id survive it! LOL

Darci,
We got Crackers as a puppy yes...I think that does help a lot. PLUS, I was VERY VERY careful of the lines I looked at---both parents are super friendly with other dogs and NO signs of aggression.

And just raised him like a BC...I have to admit, he really is a nice nice boy.

What a cutie-pie!(I may be a little biased, though).

We have some of that evil whiteness mixed in with the good black dogs:) All of ours are rescues(three Jacks, three BC's and one BC mix). I can't imagine not having the humor of a Jack around. Keeps all the BC's from getting to serious! I've always said the BC's make us look like good trainers, but the Jacks keep us honest:)

Yes Jacks are very interesting to train :) He is growing on me a lot...but he IS still a Jack :) I am a BC person at heart..but there is room for a little white dude named Crackers :)
