Regionals Recap, Pictures and Yadda, Yadda, Yadda :)

16 hours in a minivan...to Colorado we traveled...da, da, da, DUM...

Nebraska is REALLY DAMN BORING...

Day 175: Proof
Hill, hill, corn, cow....cow...flat land, tree, cow...hill....cow. Thanks to the FB friend who posted that saying :)

I don't settle well...I'll admit it...I am just downright annoying to be in a vehicle with...I fiddle with stuff, I talk about nothing...I sigh...I play eye spy...I'm worse than most 4 year olds.

Thank god for books on tape...and music, that I can sing to...at the top of my lungs, just to piss off the husband :) He seemed very patient...I think he was drugged.

I also had some crazy ass reaction to the GIANT MOSQUITOES on our trip (this is coming from a gal who lives in Minnesota people...these things were like BIRDS!!! OMG!!)...so I was doped up on Benedryl most of the time, or roofies...the husband SAID it was Benedryl...but I slept a LOT. Like drooling on the seat, no feeling, sleep. I am thinking roofies. I can't say I blame him...whatever it was, it helped me not puff up like a blow fish. YAY!!

So the husband and my drugged up ass got to Colorado in one piece...along with 6 of the 7 Full Tilt dogs :) Zip, Klink, Gator, Crackers, Even and Lynn. Ace stayed home, he has that whole dementia thing...he gets lost in the house sometimes...so traveling across the country...not so much.

The facility is AWESOME...turf is lovely!! Only downside? No a/c...which I was thinking wasn't going to be much of an issue...HA!....HA!! HAA!!! Yeah...105 when we left Colorado on Monday...it's a DRY heat, SURE IS!! Like hanging out in an oven :)

Anyway...so tada! We made it!!!!

Day 176: Awww yeah!
Lovely place though...the only thing I wish they had? Rubber contacts...just cause I like them...and so do my dogs. But I guess whatever :)

I didn't enter team...which I thought was a great idea when I filled out my entry forms...but when I ran only ONE run on the first day...yeah. That was kinda boring. But, I got to chill out, talk to friends, meet new people and support Team Crackhead on their World Team stuff...so actually, being an ASS (Agility Support Spouse) was kinda fun! But..I wouldn't want to do that all the time :)

Goals: Semi-Finals Byes for Nationals...
Team Crackhead get IHC points and stuff :) And byes :)

All goals accomplished. I could go into detail, but I doubt anyone cares, but all dogs ended up with Steeplechase Semi-Byes, Crackers being the Regional Champion. All dogs ended up with Grand Prix Semi-Byes (Lynn wasn't entered in that) and again Crackers was the Regional Champion. So GREAT weekend for everyone! So proud of the dogs!

Crackers also ended up High IHC dog!!! YAY!!! And got lots of points towards World Team :) So proud of them!!!!!!

Watch the vids and that will tell you all the placements etc etc for all the dogs. I am just tired and feeling lazy :)

I also realized...if I don't NEED something...I tend to not handle as well...good to know! LOL Apparently I just kinda go through the motions...oops :) Will work on that!

So...Lynn has 2 Steeplechase legs, and one Grand Prix leg with a Bye into Regionals...I guess I am going to try to get her another Grand Prix Q to get her qualified for Nationals...did I just say that? LMAO! This no expectations idea ROCKS!!!! GO STEWART LITTLE!

Friends were laughing at me this weekend, because after I am done running her, I jump up and down and clap my hands and baby talk her at the end of the runs :) What? She's a baby...and she enjoys it :) Gotta love my little Stewie!!! Really proud of her...she has had a hard time running Steeplechase, due to the speed and extension needed WHILE still keeping her head and her bars up. This weekend, not one but TWO clean Steeplechase runs! Sure, I wasn't pushing her, trying to help her and support her through each jump. But she's coming together :) Really enjoying that little dog!!

Best things about Regionals??
Time with friends :)
Dessert!

The hotel was awesome!!!!
Gator approved of the beds..which was good as with the heat the dogs were SOOO TIRED. Heck, we got done before 3 each day and we went back to the hotel, showered and took a nap before dinner!

So LOTS of sleeping....
On the floors....
Oh the beds...
And some walking...
And then more sleeping...
And some laying around...
Which led to more sleeping...
Then at the trial there was sleeping...highs in the 90's and 100's made that the logical thing...
Oh look! MORE SLEEPING!!!
And looks of sheer boredom from the dogs not running...

Day 177: SOOOO BOREDDDDDD
OMG KILL ME!!!!!

And MORE sleeping after the trial...
Day 178: Husband entitled this "Lazy Ass Wife Who's Not Driving"...thanks pumpkin :)
I think I was sleeping...or drugged...or both...can't remember...

And more sleeping...
But the trips to and from were uneventful...and as many of you know from reading the blog, that is a miracle...as is this picture I took...Day 179: ohhh...ok!!!!
The miracle will be that I don't immediately get sent to hell for my mind TOTALLY going in the gutter when I read it...

Day 180: WOW...
Picture was taken with my iphone while traveling at about 75 mph...GO SHEEN!!!!!

Another super cool thing about the trial...I got to meet several of ya'll that read the blog!!!! How awesome is that? Thanks for coming up to me and saying hello! I really appreciate it! I'm not scary and I don't bite, most of the time ;-) Thanks for the nice words, I don't know why I really do the blogging thing...but when someone says it makes them smile, it's for sure a good enough reason :)

So...regionals rocked...the dogs rocked...and now, I'm going on a no agility weekend for my birthday on Saturday! SOOO excited! ;) I have some really amazing friends in my life.

Great runs! Congrats!!

Klink was like "what the heck are you doing on the floor??!"

AND...yes, Nebraska is THE most boring state, not to mention SO freaking long when you have to drive the full length of it.
