Courses are way more about speed. Minimum spacing between obstacles = 18'dog path. We will see wraps, serpentines always - virtually never a threadle or 270. Always discriminations/traps. They do not have the tire, table or teeter, though the teeter should be back later after specifications can be agreed upon. The biggest difference to me watching was distance. Most people work quite far from their dogs in NADAC, and the chances class (formerly gamblers) is a numbered course that tests specific skills at distance: discrimination, directional changes and distant obstacle performance. In elite, the distance line is generally 25'-40' from the tests. (there may be plenty of layers of equipment in between)

Yeah...lots of specific handling involved in USDAA, tight and very trappy at times, depending on the judge. Distance IS needed, but not like what you would see in NADAC. Hard jump angles are big, depressed angles etc, tough WP entries and we do have discriminations. Speed is definetly needed. Threadles yep, 270's and 180's yep :) Fun how all the different organizations have different challenges! I wish I could afford to do more of them!
