Even Steven Bionic Puppy Update...and a whole lotta nothing really :)

Even went in today to the rehab center so they could see her. I also called Dr. Canapp in Maryland as I tend to freak out about a dog after I have spent 10 grand on her...sigh.

Good news, nothing is broken (well other than her Coronoid Process (HA!! ISN'T THAT FUNNY!!!!??!!??! HAHAHAHAHA)...ha.....ha....ok...it's not....). But it is a bit sore from the work we have been doing. Dr. Canapp said to put her on some anti-inflammatories, keep working her, ice after every session, but cut back just a bit on the workload. Dr. Julia agreed and we are going forth!

So...Even is OK, just tender from the work...totally normal apparently and part of the healing process...I don't LIKE it...but I guess it isn't about me :)

And I think I am having a midlife crisis...many people get new cars, or a hot younger man...me?? I want to go west (think I have it currenty narrowed down to Arizona, Oregon or Idaho....or both Oregon and Idaho)...and work my dogs...mostly herding...ok maybe all herding! Enjoy the country, nature, and get the hell out of Minnesota...

Andy ok'd it :) Said I had to at LEAST take Gator, Klink, Lynn and Even....but I could :) Now I have to see when (thinking January, Feb time frame) and to see whom...actually excited about this...it will be nice to get away...to work with people that I can learn a ton from, see some new places...

Having an agility fun run tomorrow am, I always enjoy those, a bunch of people coming out, spending the am playing on the courses, having a great time, and laughing a ton ;) Last time we even switched dogs and THAT was interesting! LOL

Then building the round pen and working some dogs in it!!

Ahhh....the weekend....the last relaxing one for awhile...

I am glad you found out Even is just going through the process of healing. It will still take awhile but have faith that she will heal completely and get back to being a normal healthy dog!

If you're coming out in Jan/Feb bring your raingear :) We all herd in the mud that time of year (OR/WA). You might be able to dodge the mud in ID.

If you come to Idaho and come in Feb, there will be a SDT you can attend! It will be cold (probably not not as cold as Minnesota), probably windy (does it get really windy in Minnesota?) with a slight chance of snow (definitely not as much snow as Minnesota!). I might even have a bedroom for you to stay in!
