Crackhead....

No I am not attempting to tell everyone of my rehab and new found life...heck...I haven't even ever smoked weed...

I am talking about Crackers...who since Sunday has been lame...and as many people with dogs will do..we tried crate rest and drugs...well...

I thought my BC's were a pain in the rear when they were crate rested...HAHAHAHAHAHA (insert crazy laugh here)....they ain't got nuttin' next to the NOTORIOUS J.R.T.

Crackers is by FAR the biggest pain in my *ss when it comes to crate rest.....he VIBRATES..yes ladies and gents...VIBRATES...he lets out this horrid noise that sounds a bit like the cross between a mosquito and a fog horn--with a bit of fire alarm thrown in--just a dash though..not too much. He sighs, he sighs again....he whines AND sighs....this continues ALL DAY.

He has been banished to the laundry room...that way I can't hear his ear wrenching pleading all day.

He went to the massage therapist today and he has pulled a muscle in his inner thigh....AND he has a click in his knee..hmmmm...so we are HOPING he doesn't have a luxated patella :( If so and depending on the grade...the little bugger might have to go under the knife (ok...I would GLADLY cut him right now..but alas)...he goes to a clinic on Thursday that specializes in bone stuff....

Until then....well....if he LIVES until then....I will continue to leave him in the laundry room...

Lets just all hope that he just has the pulled muscle and NOT the patellar issues!!!

gee, sounds just like jane in a crate - i often call it a mix between a monkey and a hyena.

jane has a luxating patella - i think grade 2 (it is fairly moveable), just on her left. it has never caused her an issue - though as she is getting older, she will hold it up 3 or 4 strides on walks sometimes.

i'll cross my fingers that he recovers and has no other issues.

Good to know that Jane is OK with that...the hubby REALLY loves agility now..and is so worried Crackers won't be able to do that anymore...

I am glad to hear that she is running just fine with it :) Thanks!

Poor you, I hate my crate as well I moan when I go (get put) in it at night. I stay well away from it during the day ;-)
