The basic idea is:
To check your Photo Archives (or where-ever you store your images) then select the 6th file, open it & post the 6th picture contained there, with the story behind it.
After doing that...you get to tag 6 new friends :-))
So here is my picture :
This picture is of my girlie Zip, taken the morning after we got her home....even at this age she had already stolen my heart and was on her way to being the most special dog to ever live :-) Her collar was WAY too big and she already had the eyes of a little imp. I have never loved a dog more!
This reminds me of a time in my life when everything was so much simpler...we lived in the upper level of a farm house on 30 acres and rented it...I was not wanting a pup, I wanted to rescue a dog from BC rescue....but because I rented and did not have a fenced in yard--I did not meet their qualifications...
I talked to a local obedience gal about who bred border collies....and she gave me the name and phone # of Jack and Kathy Knox...
I phoned them and Kathy said she happened to have a litter on the ground...and the rest is history...the Knox's have been so gracious to me all through these years, giving me 2 more awesome dogs, teaching me everything about border collies and herding....and now a litter on the way out of Miss Zip bred to Kathy's Jake.
I got very lucky...she could have given me ANYONE's name....or I could have done an internet search on BC puppies and got an entire LIST of "not so good" breeders who wouldn't have sold me a working dog.....
But luckily I found a good path to follow...
Because of Zip I have met so many wonderful people and have been very blessed to have so much support to help me on my journey. She has charmed so many people and has given me so much happiness....
It was very neat to get to look back on pictures 5 years ago...I thank BCxFour for tagging me with a sixth picture story! And how appropriate this picture was with Zip's puppies due in a month! :-))
OK....so 6 blogger friends to tag.....
